OSMTH Decides who will be Templar

Ordo Supremus Militaris Templi Hierosolymitani, Latin for "The Sovereign Military Order of the Temple of Jerusalem”, and often shortened to the initials OSMTH or SMOTJ http://www.osmth.org

The Military Order OSMTH, as do all Knights Templar organizations, place requirements and conditions for membership which discriminate who can and cannot be a member of their organization.  In the case of OSMTH, membership requirements include that you be of the right religion and qualify within a "Ecumenical Christian Confraternal Order”, and live in the right location, "a resident of Australia would not be eligible to join the Grand Priory of Canada.”

As you know, World Templar does not discriminate against members based on their religious beliefs, geographic location, or any other basis of discrimination related to race, nationality, religion, culture, etc.

An unfortunate reality is that, in OSMTH’s zealous veneration of the historic Knights Templar, they overgeneralize the use of the word Templar and seem to think that not just anybody can be a Templar. Even though World Templar has no association with the Knights Templar [use of the word "Templar” relates to the vessel or "temple” that resides within each of us], OSMTH will not allow their members to associate with World Templar. According to OSMTH Belgium Prior Chev. Leo Thys: OSMTH, as a "condition of membership”, does not allow membership within World Templar and members must remove their names from any page on the website. And, "The reason why they're against World Templar is that anyone can enter this site as a Templar, and they think there are a lot of questionable members around.”

Even though OSMTH seems to be confused in that they are not the only one using the word "Templar”, OSMTH members still need to comply with their directives or suffer the consequences. It may be advisable for OSMTH members to clarify if they should be able to be a member with the "International Organization of Good Templars”, drive the "Templar” automobile, listen to "The Templars” band, play video games from "Templar Studios”, shop at the "Templars Square Shopping Center”, read the "Templar, Arizona” comics, or be entertained by "Templar”, a telekinetic superhero character from DC Comics – after all, like World Templar, none of these have anything to do with the Knights Templar either.

The unfortunate reality is that as a member of OSMTH you must comply with their directives -- even if it does not make sense.

If you are a member of OSMTH, World Templar insists that you comply with the directives of OSMTH, period.

It is important that you stay in good standing with OSMTH and not be persecuted because of your open mind and heart. World Templar understands these unfortunate realities and will always be supportive of you directly or indirectly, in body and in spirit. World Templar will always be here for you, even from a distance. There are no negative issues on the part of World Templar and you are held high in our minds and recognized as one (of very few) that this world needs to stabilize humanity. Do what you can, as you can, to follow your path -- You are important.
